The game is based on years of research and experience into the science of literacy. Built around the concept of caring for a collection of monsters, it is designed to encourage empathy, perseverance and socio-emotional development for children.

WHO ARE WE?
Feed the monster was funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the EduApp4Syria-competition. The original Arabic app was developed as a joint venture between Apps Factory, CET – The Center for Educational Technology, and IRC – The International Rescue Committee.

Feed the Monster was adapted to English by Curious Learning, a non-profit dedicated to promoting access to effective literacy content for everyone who needs it. We're a team of researchers, developers, and educators dedicated to giving children everywhere literacy education in their native language based on evidence and data – and are working to bring the Feed The Monster app to 100+ high-impact languages around the world.
